Meikki – Joulumuori / The Makeup – Mrs Claus

Musta, valkoinen ja hopea, yhdistettynä verenpunaiseen – lyömätön yhdistelmä, joka toimii takuulla tämän lomakauden klassisessa juhlameikissä. Tein tämän meikin jouluna, juurikin inspiroituneena joulun punaisesta ja juhlakauden kimalteesta. Ja siis tietenkin pukista. Silmiin tein puolikkaan “cut creasen” ja huulet punasin täydellisen punaisella huulipunalla. Puolikas cut crease on älyttömän helppo tehdä: Tarvitset vain peitevoiteen, lättäsiveltimen ja haluamasi luomivärin.

Jos haluat toteuttaa tämän meikin, tarvitset silmämeikkiä varten mattaisen vaalean harmaan, tummemman harmaan sävyjä (matta tai hohto), mattamustan, hohtavan hopeaa tai samppanjaa, hohtovaa valkoista, mustan eyelinerin ja näyttävät irtoripset. Huulia varten tarvitset klassisen punaisen huultenrajauskynän ja kermaisen punan.

Black, white and silver with a deep red – a color combination that most likely rocks during this holiday season. I did this makeup look on Christmas, as I was totally inspired by the festive red and shimmer – and Santa. I made a half cut crease to the eye lids and used creamy red in the lips. If you wish to mimic this look, you only need matte light grey, matte or shimmer dark grey, matte black, shimmer silver or champagne, shimmer white, black eyeliner and pair of drama lashes. For lips, a classic red lipliner and traditional red lipsctick are must.

Aloitin meikin jälleen kulmista, jonka jälkeen pohjustin luomet pohjustusvoiteella ja ihonsävyisellä luomivärillä. Lisäsin luomivakoon ja kohti kulmakarvoja isolla pyöreäpäisellä siveltimellä mattaista vaalean harmaata (1) ja pienemmällä siveltimellä tumman harmaata pelkästään luomivakoon (2). Mattamustaa lisäsin tiheällä pyöreäpäisellä siveltimellä ensin silmän ulkonurkkaan ja häivytin luomivakoon häivytyssiveltimellä (3). Levitin nestemäistä peiteainetta litteällä siveltimellä silmän sisänurkasta kohti luomen keskiosaa, piirtäen tarkan rajan luomivakoa mukaellen (4). Tämän peiteainekerroksen päälle levitin hohtavaa hopeaa, samppanjaa ja valkoista (5), jonka jälkeen lisäsin nestemäisen eyelinerin (6). Ripsivärin ja aikas dramaattisten tekoripsien jälkeen tein pohjameikin ja punasin huulet.

First I did my brows, as usual, after which I primed my lids and brushed some nude shade shadow all over the lids. I added matte light  grey to the crease and above with a huge blending brush (1) and darker grey shade with a smaller blending brush, focusing mainly only to the crease (2). Then I added matte black to the outer edge of the lid with a dense detail brush and blended the color to the crease with a blending brush (3). I cut the inner and middle part of the lid with a concealer and flat brush, creating a sharp cut to the crease (4). On top of that, I added some shimmering silver, champagne and white (5), before drawing a liner (6). After adding some mascara and dramatic false lashes, I made up the complexion and the lips.

Puolikkaan cut creasen tekeminen on älyttömän helppo tapa tehdä vähän erilainen, mutta näyttävä silmämeikki mihin tahansa juhliin. Ja se mielestäni antaa vapauden leikkiä väreillä paljon vapaammin. Half cut crease is an extremely easy way to do a bit different, yet snazzy eye makeup for any kind of an event. It gives also freedom to play with different colors, and I promise to post whole or half cut crease makeup tutorials in the future just to show you that it’s not that difficult.

Meikki – Grinch-tyttö / The Makeup – Grinch Girl

Pikkujouluaika on kuumimmillaan, ja sen näkee varsinkin ihmisten pukeutumisessa ja tyylissä. Ravintolat täyttyvät erityisen laittautuneista ihmisistä, jotka ovat panostaneet pikkujouluiseen habitukseensa asusteiden, meikin ja vaatteiden voimin. Kauden meikkitrendeinä on nähtävissä perinteisen kullan ja hopean lisäksi erivärisiä glittersilmämeikkejä ja rohkeita huulipunan sävyjä, joista suosituimmat ovat violettiin ja pinkkiin taittuvat sävyt.

Tässä meikkiesimerkissä olen ottanut vaikutteita joulun yhdestä perinteisemmästä väristä, vihreästä. Tumman mattaista ja kimaltelevaa vihreää käytin sekä silmämeikissä, että pukeutumisessa. Jos käytössäsi ei ole Morphe x Jaclyn Hill-palettia, kannattaa etsiä ainakin seuraavat sävyt tämänkaltaiseen silmämeikkiin: matta ruskean beige, matta tumman vihreä, mattamusta, kimalteleva vihreä, kimaltevela hopea/samppanja, ja kulmaluun ja silmän sisänurkan korostukseen mieluinen korostuspuuteri. Esimerkiksi NYX:iltä ja H&M:n valikoimassa löytyy tämänkaltaisia värejä, ja vieläpä edulliseen hintaan.

Christmas party time is booming, which can be seen in the way people are making an effort to their appearance. Especially glitter and bold lips are trending, and gold and silver are no longer the main colors during this season. In this makeup look, I wanted to play around with one of the most characteristic color of the Christmas, green. The green color was ruling my eyes and clothing. The eye makeup was conducted basically using Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette, but corresponding shades and colors can be easily found from the huge and affordable collection of NYX and H&M. All you need is matte brown beige, matte dark green, shimmering or glittering dark green, glittering silver or champagne and a basic highlighter.

Meikin kulku:

Pohjustin luomet Urban decayn silmien pohjustustuotteella, jonka jälkeen puuteroin luomet kevyesti irtopuuterilla, ja vaalean mattaisella pinkihtävän beigellä sävyllä. Aloitin lisäämällä ensin Morphe x Jaclyn Hill-paletin Silk creamia (matta ruskean beige) koko luomivakoalueelle (1), jonka jälkeen tummensin luomivakoa Enchanted-sävyllä (matta tumman vihreä), aloittaen värin lisäämisen luomen ulkonurkasta (2). Värit sudin Zoevan häivytyssiveltimella 227 reilulla kädellä, lisäten väriä. häivyttäen ja jatkaen kunnes, olin tyytyväinen. Silmän ulkonurkkaa syvensin Abyss-sävylla (mattamusta), jonka jälkeen sudin MAC Fix+-kostutetulla siveltimellä Divaa (kimalteleva vihreä) silmän sisänurkkasta luomen keskiosaan (3). Lopuksi tein kissanrajauksen nestemäisellä eyelinerilla, väritin vesirajan mustalla, sudin ripsivärin ja liimasin ripset (5, 6). Alaluomessa käytin Enchantedia ja Divaa, ja hitusen Abyssia aivan ripsirajassa.

I primed my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion, powdered them with loose setting powder and pale matte pink beige. I began working the crease area by adding Silk cream (matte brown beige) from Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (1), and then with Enchanted (matte dark green) (2). I spread the dark green shade with Zoeva 227 blending brush starting from the outer edge of the lid, proceeding to the crease. I darkened the outer edge of the lid with Abyss (matte black), and then I spread Diva (shimmering dark green) in the middle and the inner corner of the lid with wet brush (I used MAC Fix+) (3). In the middle of the lid, I added Obsessed (shimmering champagne) (4), and highlighted the inner corner of the lid and brow bone with Enlight (light highlighter). In the end, I added some liquid eyeliner, colored the waterline with black pencil, brushed mascara, and added false lashes (5, 6). Lower lid followed the same color scheme as upper lid including Enchanted, Diva and Abyss.

Pohjameikin tein tällä kertaa hiukan eri tavalla: sekoitin kolmea eri meikkivoidetta ja mielestäni saavutin parhaimman mahdollisen tuloksen! Ihoni näyttää ihanan blurratulta ja kerrankin oikean sävyiseltä. Lisäksi pohjameikkini kesti muuttumattona 8 tuntia, ennen kuin pesin turvan puhtaaksi. Kolmen meikkivoiteen setti koostui kolmesta tämänhetkisen top 3:sta: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (Ecru), Lumene Natural Glow Fluid Foundation (sävy 1) ja Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (Snow). Kaksi peittävää ja pitkäkestoista, ja yksi kuultoa antava.

Peiteainetta lisäsin ainoastaan silmien alle, ja puuteroin kasvot kevyesti. Silmien alle lisäsin puuteria hiukan enemmän meikkisienellä ja annoin puuterin vaikuttaa muutaman minuutin ennen kuin pyyhin ylimääräiset puuterit pois siveltimellä. Kasvoni varjostin ja “lämmitin” poskien alapuolelta, otsan reuna-alueilta ja nenän sivuilta. Poskipunan ja korostuspuuterin jälkeen sulatin puuteriset tuotteet yhteen meikinkiinnityssuihkeella.

The base makeup was a little different this time: I mixed three foundations and I reckon that this was the best cocktail I’ve ever made! My skin looked so blurred and velvety, and the shade was perfect. The base also lasted for 8 hours unchanged, before I washed the makeup off. The triple foundation cocktail consisted of Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (Ecru), Lumene Natural Glow Fluid Foundation (shade 1) and Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (Snow). Two giving me full coverage and one glow.

The base makeup included also concealer under the eyes, light powder, under eye baking, bronzing and contouring the cheeks, forehead and nose, and blush and highlighter. I melted the powdery makeup together with a setting spray.

Hiukset:

Hiukset muotoilin ensin lisäämällä muotovaahtoa (Fudge Hot Hed Style Whip) pyyhekuivien hiusten juureen ja föönaamalla ne kuiviksi. Sumutin kuivien hiusten latvaan lämpösuojaa (Idhair Mé Heat defender) ja kiharsin suortuvat suoristusraudalla (GHD) pienissä erissä. Harjasin jäähtyneet kiharat auki pää alaspäin ja lisäsin runsaasti tekstuurilakkaa (Fudge Think Big Texture Spray), varsinkin latvoihin. Voin kertoa, että kiharat olivat vielä seuraavanakin päivänä!

Asu:

Sujautin tekonahkahousut jalkaan ja ihanan tumman vihreän glitterpaidan, jossa on pitkät hihat ja hiukan avonainen selkä, ylleni. Jalkaan sopi täydellisesti korolliset nikkurit. Pikkujoululook oli valmis!

For rest of the look, I added some styling mousse for semi-wet hair before blow drying them. When the hair was completely dry, I sprayed heat defender all over the hair and curled them with a flat iron in small sections. When the curls were cooled off, I brushed them open head down, and sprayed generously texture spray to lock the appearance of the fluffy curls. For clothes, I picked up faux leather jeans, dark green glitter top and black high-heel boots. And that completed the final look!

Meikki – Treffit / The Makeup – Date night

Treffit tiedossa, etkä tiedä miten saisit naaman Tinder-profiilikuvakuntoon? Ei huolta. Tässä meikkiesimerkissä yhdistyvät luonnollinen silmämeikki tummanpunaisilla huulilla. Ripaus luonnollisuutta ja ripaus pikkujoulutunnelmaa. Lähtemätön vaikutus on taattu. Tein tämän meikin eräs ilta ennen omia treffejäni. Yhdistin meikkiin huolettomat laineet,  mustan neulemekon ja korolliset nilkkurit. Avot!

Date upcoming and don’t know how to fix you face to match your Tinder profile? No worries. In this makeup example combines a natural eye makeup and dark red lips. A little natural touch and a little Christmas vibe. An indelible effect is guaranteed. I made this look on one night for my own upcoming date, and added some carefree curls, black knitted dress, and boots. On the point!

Silmämeikin pääosassa on Morphe x Jaclyn Hill -luomiväripaletti. Käytin paletin luonnollisen ruskean, beigen ja shamppanjan värisiä nappeja. Yläripsirajan rajasin paletin mustanruskealla sävyllä, eikä tarvetta nestemäiselle rajaukselle ollut. Luonnolliset irtoripset suurensivat silmiä ja toivat silmiin tiettyä pilkettä.

  1. Pohjustin silmäluomet UD silmänpohjustustuotteella, jonka jälkeen puuteroin koko luomialueen irtopuuterilla ja sudin päälle NYX Professional Makeup Lingerie Lid paletin vaaleinta sävyä.
  2. Lisäsin luomivakoon suurella häivytyssiveltimellä Jaclyn Hill-paletin sävyjä M.F.E.O. ja Buns.
  3. Silmän ulkonurkkaan lisäsin pienemmällä siveltimellä Chipiä ja Mochaa, ja häivytin värit luomivakoon asti puhtaalla häivytyssiveltimellä.
  4. Silmänrajauksen tein paletin sävyllä Soda Pop, ja käytin apuna viistopäistä, kapeaa sivellintä. Blurrasin rajausta hieman pienemmällä häivytyssiveltimellä ennen kuin lisäsin Little Ladya liikkuvan luomen keskiosaan, ja Faintia sisänurkkaan.
  5. Tässä kohtaa lisäsin ripsivärin.
  6. Loppusilauksena laitin kohtuusimppelit irtoripset ja korostin kulmaluuta paletin Beam-sävyllä.
  7. Alaluomen meikkasin mukaellen samoja beigen ja ruskean sävyjä, mitä yläluomella, käyttämällä Morphen M151 sivellintä.

In this eye makeup look, the biggest role went to the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette, from which I used colors from the brown, beige, and champagne categories. I lined the upper lash line using the brown black color from the palette, and I realized that there is no need for liquid liner. Fake lashes gave some extra to the look by enlarging the eyes and adding that little sparkle.

  1. I started the eye makeup by priming the lids with UD primer potion, and adding some loose setting powder and the lightest shade from the NYX Professional Makeup Lingerie Lid Palette on top of the whole lid area.
  2. I added shades M.F.E.O. and Buns from the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette to the crease with big blending brush.
  3. To the outer edge of the lid, I added Chip and Mocha with a smaller fluffy brush, and blended the colors all the way to the crease with a clean blending brush.
  4. I lined the upper lash line with Soda pop with a help of angled eyeliner brush, and blurred the line with a small fluffy brush before adding  Little Lady to the middle of the lid, and Faint to inner corner.
  5. I added some mascara.
  6. As a final touch, I glued some simple false lashes, and highlighted the brow bone with Beam.
  7. I did the lower lid makeup with the same colors as with the upper lid using Morphe M151 small chisel fluff brush.

Huulet rajasin nuden värisellä huultenrajauskynällä ja punasin ne ihanan täyteläisen tummanpunaisella huulipunalla.

I lined my lips with nude-colored lip liner and filled the lips with juicy dark red lipstick.

Meikki – Hyvästit syksylle / The Makeup – Farewell to Fall

Tämä meikki sai inspiraationsa syksyn loppuhenkäisystä ja talven ensipusuista.  Talvi on tosin ollut hetken katkolla, mutta uskon, että jouluksi saamme sen takaisin. Meikin punaruskea värimaailma korostui pakkasenomaisesta kimalteesta ja syvän sinisen vastapainosta.

This makeup got it’s inspiration from the last breaths of the fall and first kisses from the upcoming winter. The winter has been a bit lost lately, but I believe that it will return on Christams. In this makeup, red and brown were highlighted with a frosty sparkle and deep blue detail.

Käytän silmämeikissäni tavanomaisesta kolmesta kuuteen eri sivellintä. Tässä meikissä pääosassa olivat Zoevan 227 Luxe Soft Definer ja Sigman E40 Tapered Blending Brush, joista ensimmäistä käytin usean värin sutimiseen ja jälkimmäistä värien tasoerojen häivyttämiseen. Zoevan keinoharjas nappaa puuterimaista väriä runsaasti mukanaan, mutta ei kuitenkaan liikaa, ja häivyttää nappaamansa värin kuin unelma. Sigman sivellin on tarpeeksi iso häivyttämään puuterimaiset värit harmoniseksi kokonaisuudeksi. Välineurheilun toisena osapuolena minulla on irtoripset, jotka hankin aina Ebayn kautta. Olen todennut, että säästän enemmän rahaa, ja pystyn kokeilemaan eri malleja useammin, kun tilaan Kiinasta.

In this makeup, and actually in every makeup, I used Zoeva 227 Luxe Soft Definer and Sigma E40 Tapered Blending Brush as the main brushes among three to six others. The first I used for adding multiple colors to the lids, and the last for blending the colors together evenly. The synthetic Zoeva brush sucks powdery colors like a pro, but not too much, and spreads the colors in the lids like a dream. Sigma, on the other hand, is big enough for blending all the harsh lines away to make the eye look even and soft. Talk about the equipment, I most often add some false lashes to have a little extra glamour. The lashes I order always from Ebay because then I can try several different models with less money.

Käytin tässä silmämeikissä vaaleanpunaisen ja mauven sävyjä luomivaossa (1), ja syvensin tumman punaisella luomivärillä sävymaailmaa (2). Tumman ruskeaa mattaluomiväriä lisäsin ainoastaan silmäluomen ulkonurkkaan (3), ja korostin silmän sisänurkkaa ja liikkuvan luomen keskiosaa nestemäisellä kimalleluomivärillä (4). Mustan nestemäisen rajausvärin lisäämisen jälkeen sutasin mustaa ripsiväriä ripsiin (5), ennen kuin liimasin irtoripset paikoilleen. Pohjameikin jälkeen sudin mauven ja tummanruskeaa luomiväriä alaluomelle, piirsin vesirajan tummansinisellä meikkikynällä ja väritin alaripset ripsivärillä (6).

In this look, I employed soft pink and mauve in the crease area (1), and darkened the whole crease with matte dark red (2). To have even more darker outer edge on the lid, I added some dark matte brown (3), and highlighted the inner corner and middle of the lid with liquid sparkly eyeshadow (4). After adding black liquid eyeliner, I brushed some black mascara (5) and attached fake lashes. Lower lash line was done after the base makeup by spreading mauve and dark brown shadows. I lined the waterline with deep blue liner and finished the look with lower lash mascara (6).

Joku ehkä miettii huulimeikin tilaa. Noh, allekirjoittanut ei muistanut laittaa huulia ollenkaan näihin kuviin, mutta ehkä tässä kohtaa käykin aika luonnollinen look. Ehkä vadelman värinen huulikiilto olisi ollut täydellinen.

Some may be thinking about the absence of the lip makeup. Well, I might have totally forgotten that, but then again, this eye look might desire some natural lip look after all. Some raspberry lip gloss would have been perfect.

Hohtava pääkallomeikki Halloweeniksi / Sugar Skeleton Makeup for Halloween

Halloweenia juhlitaan mitä todennäköisemmin jo tulevana viikonloppuna monissa kotibileissä ja ravintoloissa, vaikka virallinen päivä on ensi viikon tiistaina. Sosiaalisessa mediassa on pyörinyt jo monen viikon ajan mitä häikäisevimpiä ja uskomattomalla taidolla tehtyjä pääkallomeikkejä, joihin on yhdistetty glitteriä ja kimaltelevia yksityiskohtia. Innostuin tästä trendistä niin lujaa, että marssin kauppaan ostamaan muutaman purkin glitteriä ja päätin väsätä elämäni ensimmäisen “maskin”. Tämä meikki on siis toteutettu pelkästään perusmeikeillä, ripsiliimalla ja irtoglitterillä. Ja ehkä vähän leikin peruukilla ja muilla lavasteilla.

Next weekend will be the most popular time to celebrate Halloween in Finland, both in the home parties and at the bars, although the official date is on next Tuesday. On social media, there have been rolling tons of stunning images of skeleton makeup with glitter and sparkling details for weeks already. I turned on so wildly due this trend, so I rushed to buy heaps of glitter and decided to conduct my very first mask makeup. So basically, this makeup is performed with basic, everyday makeup products, lash glue and glitter. And I might have been playing with the wig and other goodies…

Mustat yksityiskohdat piirsin Essencen The Cushion Eyelinerilla, silmämeikki ja poskien yksityiskohdat on toteutettu Dermosilin Blink-luomiväripaletilla, jonka sain eräs joulu rakkaalta ystävältäni lahjaksi. Aivan ihana lila värimaailma! Irtoglitterin liimasin ripsiliimalla liikkuvalle luomelle, kyyneluriin, huuliin ja leuan alueelle. Kuvista varmasti huomaa, että glitteriä on vähän joka paikassa 😀 Oisittepa nähneet, missä kunnossa vessa oli tämän jälkeen… Kalman valkea iho on toteutettu riittävän vaalealla meikkivoiteella ja Make Up Storen Duo Contouring korostus- ja varjostuspaletin valkoisella korostussävyllä. Poskipäihin, otsaan, nenän päähän ja kulmaluille lisäsin nyrkillä NYX Professional Makeup Strobe of Genius Illuminating Paletin violetin sävyistä korostuspuuteria luomaan kylmempää sävyä.

The black details were drawn with the Essence The Cushion Eyeliner, and the eye and cheek makeup was conducted with the Dermosil Blink palette, which I had for a Christmas present from my very dear friend years and years ago. I just love the purple tones in it! The purple and pink glitter was glued into the eye lids, under eyes, lips, and cheek area. As you can see from the pics, the glitter went EVERYWHERE. Imagine my bathroom after the makeup was done…
The deathly pallor was done with the foundation fair enough, and with white shade of the Make Up Store Duo Contouring palette (Light). To the cheek bones, forehead, tip of the nose, and brow bones, I added TONS of the violet shade highlighter from the NYX Professional Makeup Strobe of Genius Illuminating Palette to emphasize the cold paleness.

Mielestäni ihan ok-suoritus ensikertalaiseksi. Ei tietenkään ole lähellekään sitä tasoa, mitä esim. Instagram-gurut ovat meille tarjonneet, mutta harjoittelu tekee varmasti jossain kohtaa mestarin!

I think this was pretty okay performance for a first try. It’s nothing compared to the professional makeups, which have been delivered by the Instagram gurus, but I’ll keep on practicing!

On the weekend, I’ll be doing something a bit different for the Halloween costume party. Maybe there will be some sneak peeks of that look 😉 I hope you all are having an amazing Halloween ❤

Meikki – Viidakon lehti / The Makeup – Jungle Leaf

Tämän vuoden suosituin luomivärisävy on ollut punainen, kattaen oranssin, pinkin, ruosteen, terrakotan, viininpunaisen ja ruskeanpunaisen eri sävyt. En olisi ikinä uskonut, että rakastuisin itse punaiseen silmämeikkiin. Aikaisemmin olin siinä uskossa, että punaiset silmät korostavat vain väsyneisyyttä ja saavat ihmisen näyttämään vain sairaalta. Väärässä olin. Jotenka, kokeilin eräs ilta vähän erilaista sävymaailmaa perinteisen punaisen sijaan, leikkien vihreän, keltaisen, turkoosin ja kullan eri vaihtoehdoilla, ja kuulkaas, I like it! Green is the new red!

Past twelve months, the most popular color scheme in the world of the eye shadows has been red, consisting a variety of oranges, pinks, terracotta shades, wine reds, and brownish reds. I would have never believed that I will fell in love with red eye makeup. Earlier, I was in belief that red color would only emphasize the tired looking eyes, making the person look like sick. How wrong I was. So one night, instead of seeking my traditional shadows, I ended up trying colors from green, yellow, turquoise, and gold color schemes. And let me tell you something! I just love it! Green is the new red.

Tämä pikameikki on mahdollista toteuttaa kolmella eri luomivärisävyllä (matta keltainen, matta vihreä, shimmer/glitter-vihreä) ja vihreällä meikkikynällä, jos on kiire. Tämä ei vaadi kuin kolmesta neljään eri sivellintä, joista yhden pitää olla iso ja puhdas häivytyssivellin. Lisämausteeksi sujautin mukaan mattamustaa luomiväriä silmän ulkonurkkaan, turkoosia hohdeluomiväriä silmän sisänurkkaan ja keskelle liikkuvaa luomea, mustan nestemäisen silmänrajauksen, irtoripset ja lavallisen korostuspuuteria. Huulet rajasin nuden värisellä huultenrajauskynällä, täytin nuden värisellä mattahuulipunalla ja tujautin kultaista korostuspuuteria keskiosaan huulia. Tämä meikki sopii kuin nakutettu ruskeisiin silmiin!

This quickie is possible to execute with three different eye shadows (matte yellow, matte green, shimmering green) and one green eye pencil. This doesn’t require more than three to four different brushed, which one needs to be big and clean blending brush. I added some matte black eye shadow to the outer edge, bright turquoise eye shadow to to inner edge and in the middle of the lid, black liquid eyeliner, false lashes and sickload of highlighter. Lips I lined with nude lip liner, and added nude liquid lipstick. I highlighted the middle part of the lips with gold shimmer. This look fits perfectly with the brown eyes!

Stepbystep

Aloitin meikin silmistä (1). Levitin ensin peiteainetta ja irtopuuteria koko luomialueelle kulmakarvojen yli, ja piirsin kulmat (2). Pohjustin luomialueen nuden värisellä luomivärillä, jonka jälkeen levitin isolla häivytysiveltimellä keltaista luomiväriä luomivakoon (3). Levitin pienemmällä kynäsiveltimellä mattavihreää luomiväriä luomivakoon, ja häivytin värin puhtaalla häivytyssiveltimellä (4). Hohtavaa tumman vihreää luomiväriä lisäsin silmän ulkonurkkaan, ja häivytin värin häivytyssiveltimellä luomivakoon ja sen yli (5). Piirsin rohkean kissarajauksen vihreällä meikkikynällä, käyttämällä apuna muovilastaa (6). Tässä voi käyttää apuna myös teippiä, jotta rajauksesta saa tarpeeksi terävän. Lisäsin turkoosin väristä hohdeluomiväriä silmän sisänurkkaan, mustaa luomiväriä ulkonurkkaan ja mustaa nestemäistä rajausväriä yläripsirajaan. Tässä kohtaa tein pohjameikin ja hienosäädin silmien värien tasapainoa lisäämällä värejä haluamani määrän, kunnes olin tyytyväinen (7-8). Pohjameikin jälkeen, tasapainotin silmämeikkiä häivyttämällä alaluomelle tumman vihreää ja mustaa, rajaamalla vesirajan mustalla meikkikynällä, harjaamalla ripset mustalla ripsivärillä ja lisäämällä irtoripset (9). Lopuksi harjasin kulmat kulmakarvavahalla, ja korostin kulmaluuta ja silmän sisänurkkaan korostuspuuterilla (10).

I started the whole look with the eye makeup, as usual (1). I covered the entire lid area with concealer and padded loose powder all the way above the brows to have nice base to the upcoming makeup before drawing the brows (2). I added a nude-colored eye shadow for entire lid area, and matte yellow shadow to crease with huge blending brush (3). With pencil brush, I added matte green shadow into the crease, and melted the colors with clean blending brush (4). Dark shimmering green went to the outer edge of the lid, which I blended to the crease area as well (5). The green line was drawn with eyeliner pencil with the help of plastic card (6). You may also use some tape to gain sharp edge for the line. I added some shimmering turquoise shadow with wet brush to the inner corner of the lids, black matte shadow to the outer edge, and black liquid eyeliner to the upper lash line. After this I did my base makeup, and fine-tuned all colors until I was satisfied (7-8). I added some dark green and black eye shadows to the lower lash line, marked the waterline with black eyeliner, brushed my lashes with black mascara, and attached false lashes (9). Finally, I fixed my brows with brow wax and highlighted the brow bone and inner corner (10).

Meikki – Arktinen mauve / The Makeup – Arctic Mauve

Mikä sopisikaan paremmin tämän blogin ensimmäiseksi meikkiesimerkiksi, kuin blogin nimeä kantava Arktinen mauve? Tässä meikissä yhdistyvät syksyisen mauven, ruskean ja vaaleanpunaisen sävyt ripauksella antiikkista ruusukultaa. Käytin samaa väriteemaa sekä silmä- että huulimeikissä, kun tein tämän meikin eräänä lauantaina ennen pikku irtiottoa. Kaikki käytössä olleet tuotteet on listattuna postauksen lopussa.

What would be more suitable beginning for the new makeup tutorial series than a look that represents the name of this blog, Arctic Mauve? In this makeup look, autumnal mauve, brown and pink are combined with a hint of antique rose gold. I used the same color scheme in the eye and lip makeup on one Saturday when I was preparing myself for a little party. All products used in this look are listed down below at the end of the post.

Meikin päätähtenä on NYX Professional Makeup Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette, jossa on kuusi yhteensopivaa täysmattaista sävyä. Sävyillä ei ole erillisnimiä, joten päädyin numeroimaan sävyt tämän meikkiesimerkin selostamisen helpottamiseksi.

The main hero of this makeup is NYX Professional Makeup Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette, which holds six full-matte colors. The compatible colors do not have any names so I numbered them according to the image below to ease off the reporting.

Paletti

  1. Pohjustin luomet primerilla ja maalasin kulmakarvaympäristön peiteaineella.
  2. Kulmat piirrettyäni siirryin silmämeikin pariin. Levitin ensin irtopuuteria koko ja vasta sen jälkeen NYXin paletin vaaleinta sävyä no. 1 koko luomelle.
  3. Lisäsin ja häivytin paletin sävyä no.5 koko luomivakoalueelle reilulla kädellä aina kulmakarvoihin asti. Syvensin luomivaon tummuutta paletin sävyllä no. 2, ja keskityin lähinnä silmän ulkonurkkaan, Väriä sutasin aika huolettomasti, enkä välittänyt varisimisista. Värit sulatin yhteen puhtaalla häivytyssiveltimellä.
  4. Silmän ulkonurkkaukseen lisäsin paletin sävyjä no. 4 ja 6, jonka jälkeen asetin liikkuvan luomen keskiosaan ja sisänurkkaan Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, sävyssä Rose Gold Retro.
  5. Häivytin nestemäisen luomivärin ja tumman ulkonurkan rajaa lisäämällä paletin sävyjä no. 2, 4 ja 6 liikkuvalle luomelle värien rajakohtaan.
  6. Tämän jälkeen rajasin yläripsirajan nestemäisellä rajausvärillä.
  7. Lisäsin vesirajaan mustaa kajalia, sudin hiukan ripsiväriä yläripsiin, ja kiinnitin irtoripset.
  8. Ennen vaihetta 8, tein pohjameikin kokonaisuudessaan, jonka jälkeen pääsin meikkaamaan alaluomen. Lisäsin alaluomelle paletin sävyjä no. 2, 3 ja 6, tässä järjestyksessä utuisen tunnelman aikaansaamiseksi. Mattamustaa luomiväriä sudin viistopäisellä siveltimellä alaripsirajan alapuolle ennen kuin lisäsin ripsiväriä sekä ylä- että alaripsiin. Silmien sisänurkaan lisäsin NYX Prismatic Eye Shadow, sävyssä Girl Talk, avaamaan katsetta.

Kollaasi

I started priming my lids with a eye shadow primer and spreading concealer around the brow area (1). After finishing my brows, I added first loose powder and then no 1 from the palette to the whole lid area (2). I began adding generously no 5 from the palette into my crease area, nearly to the brow level. I deepened the crease area with no 2 from the palette, focusing mainly to the outer edge of the crease. I melted the colors together with a big clean crease brush (3). To the outer edge of the lid, I added no 4 and 6 from the palette, and then to the middle and inner edge of the lid, Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow, shade Rose gold retro (4). I blurred the line between the liquid and powder eye shadow by adding no 2, 4 and 6 from the palette (5). The eye look got its drama from the liquid eyeliner (6), black waterline, mascara, and some false lashes (7).  After finalizing my base makeup, I began adding no 2, 3 and 6 from the palette to lower lid with some black shadow into the lower lash line. Added some mascara to lower and upper lashes, and highlighted the inner corner with NYX Prismatic Eye Shadow, with shade Girl talk. To lips, I used mauve-colored lip liner from Max Factor and lipgloss from Essence. I melted the whole makeup with MAC Fix+ and fixed it with Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. The final look was decorated with icy earrings and black overalls. This might even be one of my Christmas party outfits!

Huuleni rajasin Max Factorin huultenrajauskynällä ja huulipunaksi valitsin Essencen Mattmattmatt lipglossin sävyssä “It’s a 10”. Meikin “sulatin yhteen” MAC Fix+ suihkeella ja kiinnitin Urban Decayn All Nighterilla. Viimeistelin tyylin jäisen hopeisilla korvarenkailla ja mustalla haalarilla. Tämä voisi toimia jopa pikkujoulutyylinä!
