Rakastan lukea muiden bloggaajien kirjoituksia tyhjentyneistä purkeista ja heidän lopullisesta mielipiteestään tuotetta kohtaan. Jotenka, tässä minun ensimmäinen versioni Tyhjentyneiden Purkkien Gaalasta. Olen kerännyt nyt tyhjentyneitä purkkeja (vitsi, kuinka älyvapaalta se tällee kirjoitettuna kuulostakaan) neljän kuukauden ajan aina kun jokin kosmeettinen tuote on loppunut. I just love to read about the posts of the empties by other bloggers and hear their final opinion about the used products. So I decided to join this madness with my very first Empty Bottle Awards post. For past four months, I’ve collected these empties, and I think it’s going to take another three to four months for me to write another one. I just can’t empty products faster than that 😀

So I will review the empty products according to the old school grade system from 4 to 10 maintaining the text part as short as possible. Let’s begin with this nonsense:

Blah. Smells like tooth paste. It might volumize your hair if you truly believe in it. Won’t be buying again, although it cleansed hair well. 6 –

Moroccanoil Volume Shampoo – Ihana shampoo, joka pesi hyvin ja jätti hiukset ilmaviksi. Nyt kierroksessa sarjan kosteuttava shampoo, niin tähän versioon en ole hetkeen palaamassa. 9

What a lovely shampoo! Cleansed properly and left hair voluminous. I’m now using the Moisture shampoo from Moroccanoil so this Volume edition is not returning to my bathroom in a minute. 9

My favorite hair spray / texture spray. Gives the biggest hair ever and keeps it in place for days. Yes, I have done that. But the big minus comes from the fact that the spray nozzle will get blocked from time to time. 9½

Garnier Ambre Solaire Intense Natural Bronzer – Vähän semmoinen oranssihtava itseruskettava. Pulloon jäi vielä kosolti tuotetta, koska suutinosa hajosi. Ei tosin jäänyt harmittamaan. 5

A bit orangish self tanner. Like those in the Shores if you prefer. The nozzle part broke down quite early, but I didn’t mourn for that. 5

Lumene HEHKU Celestial Radiance Recovery Night Cream – Jotenkin ihana, jotenkin pliisu. En tiedä, mitä odotin häneltä. Kosteusteho täysi kymppi, mutta en huomannut aamuisin mitään ihmeellisempää peilistä. Voisin ostaa jopa uudelleen paremman puutteessa. 8½

I have mixed feelings with this one. I kind of like it, but kind of feel very blah. I don’t know what exactly did I expected from it. It gives you moisture, that’s for sure, but I didn’t notice any spectacular changes in my face in the mornings. I could buy this again if there’s nothing better available. 8½

Lumene VALO Glow Reveal Vitamin C Moisturizer – Todella kosteuttava kasvovoide, jota olen kaivannut näinä pakkaspäivinä. Ei ole optimaalisin meikin alle, koska se jää liiankin kauaksi aikaa lillimään iholle, eikä minulla ole aamuisin tuhottomasti aikaa odotella voiteen imeytymistä. 8+

A really moisturizing cream, which I have missed during these frosty days. It’s not the most optimal under the makeup, because it takes time to absorb into the skin, and personally, I have no time for that in the mornings. 8+

My go-to translucent powder for every-day use. Always have a couple of extra jars in the shelf to make sure that it won’t run out. 9+

Isadora Multi Vitamin Gloss – 01 Almond – Tämä ihana huulikiilto oli siirrettävä ajasta iäisyyteen, koska se oli TODELLA VANHA ja värikin oli ehtinyt muuttumaan. Harmittaa, kun en älynnyt panostaa meidän kahdenkeskiseen aikaan enempää, koska tämä on todella kosteuttava ja näyttävä tuote. 9

This lipgloss needed to be removed from my collection since it was old af. But the product was really great! I don’t know why I didn’t pay enough attention for her. I’m considering to buy a new one to refresh our relationship in to a new era. 9

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Dip Pomade – Taupe – Tämä purkki nuoltiin viimeistä pisaraa myöten loppuun. Se kestikin toista vuotta. Ainoa todella iso miinus tässä tuotteessa on sen nopea kuivuminen, vaikka käyttäisi kaikkia vippaskonsteja. This jar was licked until the last drop. It lasted for nearly two years. The only minus is that it dries fast after you start using it. But, nevertheless, a new jar has been opened and I keep on adding some facial oil or eye drops from time to time to keep it moist enough. The product is that good. 8½

Maybelline Master Precise eyeliner – Todella tarkka silmänrajaustussi, joka tosin kului nopiasti loppuun, eikä ollut niin pitkäkestoinen, mitä Maybelline väittää. 7+

Really precise eyeliner pen, which ran out fast and wasn’t that long lasting like Maybelline claimed it to be. 7+

Glamglow Flasmud Brightening Treatment – Lempinaamioitani, joka todella kirkastaa kasvojeni sävyä kuivattamatta. Uusi purkki on tietenkin korkattu 😉 9½

One of my favorite masks, which truly brightens the tone of my face without drying my skin. New jar is opened already. Naturally. 9½.

Lumene Nordic Nude Natural Glow meikkivoide / foundation

Olen käyttänyt Lumenen meikkivoiteita jo useamman vuoden ajan, ja suosikeikseni ovat päässeet Blur Foundation ja Color Correcting Cream. Ne ovat ihanan kevyitä, arkikäyttöön soveltuvia meikkivoiteita, joissa on riittävä peittävyys ja heleä lopputulos. Ja edukas hinta.

Lumene on tehnyt viimeisen vuoden ajan aikamoiset kasvojen kohotukset, mikä on ymmärrettävää, jos haluaa markkinapaikan Suomen rajojen ulkopuolelta. Yhtenä uutuutena on ilmestynyt aivan uusi meikkivoide, Nordic Nude Natural Glow. Sain tästä meikkivoiteesta testipussukan muutama kuukausi sitten ja se oli rakkautta ensisilmäyksellä! Nimi ei voisi olla osuvampi: tämä meikkivoide tosiaan on antaa luonnollisen heleän lopputuloksen. Väitän, että nuorennuin rapiat 10 vuotta viidessä minuutissa. Ja se onkin pääsyy, miksi tämä meikkivoide oli viime vuoden parhaimpia meikkivoiteitani!

I have been using Lumene’s foundations already for years and my favorite products are Blur Longwear Foundation SPF15 and Color Correcting Cream. They are light-textured with medium coverage, everyday foundations with a dewy finish and a reasonable price tag.

After the big face lift Lumene did about a year ago, they came up with a brand new foundation: Nordic Nude Natural Glow. I got a few test packages of it and fell in love immediately! The name of the product could not be more precise: It truly gives you naturally dewy finish. I bet I lost about 10 years from my face. And that is the main reason why this product was one of my best foundation last year!

Meikkivoide tulee tyylikkäässä pumppupullossa, joka hivelöi meikäläisen mustuaisia. Pumppausmäärä oli koko naamaani yhteensä 3 kokonaista painallusta. Neljäskin olisi ollut aika passeli, jos olisin halunnut peittävämmän lopputuloksen, mutta se olisi ollut huonompi asia pysyvyyden kannalta. Neste itsessään on vesimäisen ja voidemaisen olomuodon välimaastossa eikä se tunnu iholla oikein miltään. Levityksessä käytin kabukisivellintä, mutta pinnan tasoittamiseen tarvitsin myös meikkisientä. Meikkipinta pitää ehdottomasti puuteroida, koska tämä meikkivoide ei kuivu ihon pinnalle edes satiiniseksi. Plussaa tulee ehdottomasti suojakertoimesta 20 suojaamaan ihoa haitallisia UVB-säteitä vastaan.

The product comes in a stylish and hygienic pump bottle, which completely satisfies my eyes. I needed a full 3 pumps to cover my face, but the fourth would have given me more coverage, in an expense of the lasting power. The liquid is somewhere between watery and creamy and it doesn’t feel anything on the skin. I used flat buffer brush to apply it and finished the surface with a makeup sponge to even out the appearance. The foundation won’t dry out, not even to velvety finish, so a need for powder is there. Big plus is given for the SPF 20 against the UVB.

Kasvokollaasi

En osaa sanoa, ohittiko tämä meikkivoide rakastamani CC-meikkivoiteen, mutta pysyvän asuinsijan tämä Natural Nude-meikkivoide kyllä saa. Pysyvyys iholla oli perustasoa, ei lähellekään pitkäkestoinen, mutta jotenkin en vaadi paljoa tämän hintaluokan ja käyttötarkoituksen meikkivoiteista. Kunhan meikkivoide kestää 6-8 tuntia, olen tyytyväinen. Suosittelen siis tätä meikkivoidetta kaikille, joilla on 30+ iho, pintakuivuutta, t-alueen öljyisyyttä ja jotain piiloteltavaa.

I don’t know (yet) if this gem has overtaken my beloved CC cream, but one thing is sure: This baby is staying for goooood. The lasting power of this foundation is not that high-end but I don’t mind. Dewy foundations seldom last long. I’m happy if a foundation could stay in place for 6 to 8 hours. So I definitely recommend this foundation for every 30 plus beautyholics who experience combined skin issues.

Meikki – Joulumuori / The Makeup – Mrs Claus

Musta, valkoinen ja hopea, yhdistettynä verenpunaiseen – lyömätön yhdistelmä, joka toimii takuulla tämän lomakauden klassisessa juhlameikissä. Tein tämän meikin jouluna, juurikin inspiroituneena joulun punaisesta ja juhlakauden kimalteesta. Ja siis tietenkin pukista. Silmiin tein puolikkaan “cut creasen” ja huulet punasin täydellisen punaisella huulipunalla. Puolikas cut crease on älyttömän helppo tehdä: Tarvitset vain peitevoiteen, lättäsiveltimen ja haluamasi luomivärin.

Jos haluat toteuttaa tämän meikin, tarvitset silmämeikkiä varten mattaisen vaalean harmaan, tummemman harmaan sävyjä (matta tai hohto), mattamustan, hohtavan hopeaa tai samppanjaa, hohtovaa valkoista, mustan eyelinerin ja näyttävät irtoripset. Huulia varten tarvitset klassisen punaisen huultenrajauskynän ja kermaisen punan.

Black, white and silver with a deep red – a color combination that most likely rocks during this holiday season. I did this makeup look on Christmas, as I was totally inspired by the festive red and shimmer – and Santa. I made a half cut crease to the eye lids and used creamy red in the lips. If you wish to mimic this look, you only need matte light grey, matte or shimmer dark grey, matte black, shimmer silver or champagne, shimmer white, black eyeliner and pair of drama lashes. For lips, a classic red lipliner and traditional red lipsctick are must.

Selfie

Aloitin meikin jälleen kulmista, jonka jälkeen pohjustin luomet pohjustusvoiteella ja ihonsävyisellä luomivärillä. Lisäsin luomivakoon ja kohti kulmakarvoja isolla pyöreäpäisellä siveltimellä mattaista vaalean harmaata (1) ja pienemmällä siveltimellä tumman harmaata pelkästään luomivakoon (2). Mattamustaa lisäsin tiheällä pyöreäpäisellä siveltimellä ensin silmän ulkonurkkaan ja häivytin luomivakoon häivytyssiveltimellä (3). Levitin nestemäistä peiteainetta litteällä siveltimellä silmän sisänurkasta kohti luomen keskiosaa, piirtäen tarkan rajan luomivakoa mukaellen (4). Tämän peiteainekerroksen päälle levitin hohtavaa hopeaa, samppanjaa ja valkoista (5), jonka jälkeen lisäsin nestemäisen eyelinerin (6). Ripsivärin ja aikas dramaattisten tekoripsien jälkeen tein pohjameikin ja punasin huulet.

First I did my brows, as usual, after which I primed my lids and brushed some nude shade shadow all over the lids. I added matte light grey to the crease and above with a huge blending brush (1) and darker grey shade with a smaller blending brush, focusing mainly only to the crease (2). Then I added matte black to the outer edge of the lid with a dense detail brush and blended the color to the crease with a blending brush (3). I cut the inner and middle part of the lid with a concealer and flat brush, creating a sharp cut to the crease (4). On top of that, I added some shimmering silver, champagne and white (5), before drawing a liner (6). After adding some mascara and dramatic false lashes, I made up the complexion and the lips.

Puolikkaan cut creasen tekeminen on älyttömän helppo tapa tehdä vähän erilainen, mutta näyttävä silmämeikki mihin tahansa juhliin. Ja se mielestäni antaa vapauden leikkiä väreillä paljon vapaammin. Half cut crease is an extremely easy way to do a bit different, yet snazzy eye makeup for any kind of an event. It gives also freedom to play with different colors, and I promise to post whole or half cut crease makeup tutorials in the future just to show you that it’s not that difficult.

Irtopuuteri, joka on todellinen väritön puuteri, eikä tummenna meikkipohjaa. Lisäksi olen huomannut, että saan tällä puuterilla kirkkaammat silmänaluset kuin muulla vastaavalla tuotteella. Meikki – Grinch-tyttö / The Makeup – Grinch Girl

Pikkujouluaika on kuumimmillaan, ja sen näkee varsinkin ihmisten pukeutumisessa ja tyylissä. Ravintolat täyttyvät erityisen laittautuneista ihmisistä, jotka ovat panostaneet pikkujouluiseen habitukseensa asusteiden, meikin ja vaatteiden voimin. Kauden meikkitrendeinä on nähtävissä perinteisen kullan ja hopean lisäksi erivärisiä glittersilmämeikkejä ja rohkeita huulipunan sävyjä, joista suosituimmat ovat violettiin ja pinkkiin taittuvat sävyt.

Tässä meikkiesimerkissä olen ottanut vaikutteita joulun yhdestä perinteisemmästä väristä, vihreästä. Tumman mattaista ja kimaltelevaa vihreää käytin sekä silmämeikissä, että pukeutumisessa. Jos käytössäsi ei ole Morphe x Jaclyn Hill-palettia, kannattaa etsiä ainakin seuraavat sävyt tämänkaltaiseen silmämeikkiin: matta ruskean beige, matta tumman vihreä, mattamusta, kimalteleva vihreä, kimaltevela hopea/samppanja, ja kulmaluun ja silmän sisänurkan korostukseen mieluinen korostuspuuteri. Christmas party time is booming, which can be seen in the way people are making an effort to their appearance. Especially glitter and bold lips are trending, and gold and silver are no longer the main colors during this season. In this makeup look, I wanted to play around with one of the most characteristic color of the Christmas, green. The green color was ruling my eyes and clothing. The eye makeup was conducted basically using Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette, but corresponding shades and colors can be easily found from the huge and affordable collection of NYX and H&M. All you need is matte brown beige, matte dark green, shimmering or glittering dark green, glittering silver or champagne and a basic highlighter.

Meikin kulku:

Pohjustin luomet Urban decayn silmien pohjustustuotteella, jonka jälkeen puuteroin luomet kevyesti irtopuuterilla, ja vaalean mattaisella pinkihtävän beigellä sävyllä. Aloitin lisäämällä ensin Morphe x Jaclyn Hill-paletin Silk creamia (matta ruskean beige) koko luomivakoalueelle (1), jonka jälkeen tummensin luomivakoa Enchanted-sävyllä (matta tumman vihreä), aloittaen värin lisäämisen luomen ulkonurkasta (2). Värit sudin Zoevan häivytyssiveltimella 227 reilulla kädellä, lisäten väriä. häivyttäen ja jatkaen kunnes, olin tyytyväinen. I primed my lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion, powdered them with loose setting powder and pale matte pink beige. I began working the crease area by adding Silk cream (matte brown beige) from Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (1), and then with Enchanted (matte dark green) (2). I spread the dark green shade with Zoeva 227 blending brush starting from the outer edge of the lid, proceeding to the crease. I darkened the outer edge of the lid with Abyss (matte black), and then I spread Diva (shimmering dark green) in the middle and the inner corner of the lid with wet brush (I used MAC Fix+) (3). In the middle of the lid, I added Obsessed (shimmering champagne) (4), and highlighted the inner corner of the lid and brow bone with Enlight (light highlighter). In the end, I added some liquid eyeliner, colored the waterline with black pencil, brushed mascara, and added false lashes (5, 6). Lower lid followed the same color scheme as upper lid including Enchanted, Diva and Abyss.

Pohjameikin tein tällä kertaa hiukan eri tavalla: sekoitin kolmea eri meikkivoidetta ja mielestäni saavutin parhaimman mahdollisen tuloksen! Ihoni näyttää ihanan blurratulta ja kerrankin oikean sävyiseltä. Lisäksi pohjameikkini kesti muuttumattona 8 tuntia, ennen kuin pesin turvan puhtaaksi. Kolmen meikkivoiteen setti koostui kolmesta tämänhetkisen top 3:sta: Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (Ecru), Lumene Natural Glow Fluid Foundation (sävy 1) ja Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (Snow). Kaksi peittävää ja pitkäkestoista, ja yksi kuultoa antava.

Peiteainetta lisäsin ainoastaan silmien alle, ja puuteroin kasvot kevyesti. Silmien alle lisäsin puuteria hiukan enemmän meikkisienellä ja annoin puuterin vaikuttaa muutaman minuutin ennen kuin pyyhin ylimääräiset puuterit pois siveltimellä. Kasvoni varjostin ja “lämmitin” poskien alapuolelta, otsan reuna-alueilta ja nenän sivuilta. Poskipunan ja korostuspuuterin jälkeen sulatin puuteriset tuotteet yhteen meikinkiinnityssuihkeella.

The base makeup was a little different this time: I mixed three foundations and I reckon that this was the best cocktail I’ve ever made! My skin looked so blurred and velvety, and the shade was perfect. The base also lasted for 8 hours unchanged, before I washed the makeup off. The triple foundation cocktail consisted of Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (Ecru), Lumene Natural Glow Fluid Foundation (shade 1) and Too Faced Born This Way Foundation (Snow). Two giving me full coverage and one glow.

The base makeup included also concealer under the eyes, light powder, under eye baking, bronzing and contouring the cheeks, forehead and nose, and blush and highlighter. I melted the powdery makeup together with a setting spray.

Hiukset:

Hiukset muotoilin ensin lisäämällä muotovaahtoa (Fudge Hot Hed Style Whip) pyyhekuivien hiusten juureen ja föönaamalla ne kuiviksi. Sumutin kuivien hiusten latvaan lämpösuojaa (Idhair Mé Heat defender) ja kiharsin suortuvat suoristusraudalla (GHD) pienissä erissä. Harjasin jäähtyneet kiharat auki pää alaspäin ja lisäsin runsaasti tekstuurilakkaa (Fudge Think Big Texture Spray), varsinkin latvoihin. Voin kertoa, että kiharat olivat vielä seuraavanakin päivänä!

Asu:

Sujautin tekonahkahousut jalkaan ja ihanan tumman vihreän glitterpaidan, jossa on pitkät hihat ja hiukan avonainen selkä, ylleni. Jalkaan sopi täydellisesti korolliset nikkurit. Pikkujoululook oli valmis!

For rest of the look, I added some styling mousse for semi-wet hair before blow drying them. When the hair was completely dry, I sprayed heat defender all over the hair and curled them with a flat iron in small sections. When the curls were cooled off, I brushed them open head down, and sprayed generously texture spray to lock the appearance of the fluffy curls. For clothes, I picked up faux leather jeans, dark green glitter top and black high-heel boots. And that completed the final look!

Meikki – Treffit / The Makeup – Date night

Treffit tiedossa, etkä tiedä miten saisit naaman Tinder-profiilikuvakuntoon? Ei huolta. Tässä meikkiesimerkissä yhdistyvät luonnollinen silmämeikki tummanpunaisilla huulilla. Ripaus luonnollisuutta ja ripaus pikkujoulutunnelmaa. Lähtemätön vaikutus on taattu. Tein tämän meikin eräs ilta ennen omia treffejäni. Yhdistin meikkiin huolettomat laineet, mustan neulemekon ja korolliset nilkkurit. Avot!

A little natural touch and a little Christmas vibe. An indelible effect is guaranteed. I made this look on one night for my own upcoming date, and added some carefree curls, black knitted dress, and boots. On the point!

Silmämeikin pääosassa on Morphe x Jaclyn Hill -luomiväripaletti. Käytin paletin luonnollisen ruskean, beigen ja shamppanjan värisiä nappeja. Yläripsirajan rajasin paletin mustanruskealla sävyllä, eikä tarvetta nestemäiselle rajaukselle ollut. Luonnolliset irtoripset suurensivat silmiä ja toivat silmiin tiettyä pilkettä.

Pohjustin silmäluomet UD silmänpohjustustuotteella, jonka jälkeen puuteroin koko luomialueen irtopuuterilla ja sudin päälle NYX Professional Makeup Lingerie Lid paletin vaaleinta sävyä.
Lisäsin luomivakoon suurella häivytyssiveltimellä Jaclyn Hill-paletin sävyjä M.F.E.O. ja Buns.
Silmän ulkonurkkaan lisäsin pienemmällä siveltimellä Chipiä ja Mochaa, ja häivytin värit luomivakoon asti puhtaalla häivytyssiveltimellä.
Silmänrajauksen tein paletin sävyllä Soda Pop, ja käytin apuna viistopäistä, kapeaa sivellintä. Blurrasin rajausta hieman pienemmällä häivytyssiveltimellä ennen kuin lisäsin Little Ladya liikkuvan luomen keskiosaan, ja Faintia sisänurkkaan.
Tässä kohtaa lisäsin ripsivärin.
Loppusilauksena laitin kohtuusimppelit irtoripset ja korostin kulmaluuta paletin Beam-sävyllä.
Alaluomen meikkasin mukaellen samoja beigen ja ruskean sävyjä, mitä yläluomella, käyttämällä Morphen M151 sivellintä.

In this eye makeup look, the biggest role went to the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette, from which I used colors from the brown, beige, and champagne categories. I lined the upper lash line using the brown black color from the palette, and I realized that there is no need for liquid liner. Fake lashes gave some extra to the look by enlarging the eyes and adding that little sparkle.

I started the eye makeup by priming the lids with UD primer potion, and adding some loose setting powder and the lightest shade from the NYX Professional Makeup Lingerie Lid Palette on top of the whole lid area.
I added shades M.F.E.O. and Buns from the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette to the crease with big blending brush.
To the outer edge of the lid, I added Chip and Mocha with a smaller fluffy brush, and blended the colors all the way to the crease with a clean blending brush.
I lined the upper lash line with Soda pop with a help of angled eyeliner brush, and blurred the line with a small fluffy brush before adding Little Lady to the middle of the lid, and Faint to inner corner.
I added some mascara.
As a final touch, I glued some simple false lashes, and highlighted the brow bone with Beam.
I did the lower lid makeup with the same colors as with the upper lid using Morphe M151 small chisel fluff brush.

I lined my lips with nude-colored lip liner and filled the lips with juicy dark red lipstick.

Lumene SISU deep clean purifying cleansing oil -puhdistusöljy

Rakastan kaksoispuhdistusta. Minulle on tärkeää, että meikki lähtee viimeistä pisaraa myöten, kuivattamatta ihoa ja ärsyttämättä silmiä. Siksi aloitan meikkini puhdistamisen öljypohjaisella puhdistustuotteella. Lempituotteeni tässä asiassa ovat olleet Biothermin Total Renew.Balm ja Biosource Balm-to-Oil, jotka puhdistavat tehokkaasti vedenkestävän meikin ja jättävät ihon silkkisen pehmeäksi. Näitä kahta on paha mennä voittamaan. Eikun, oottakaa, vielä on L’occitanen Shea puhdistusöljy! Sekin on ihan mahtava tuote! Kaksoispuhdistuksen toisessa vaiheessa pesen öljyputsari- ja meikkijäämät joko puhdistusmaidolla tai -vaahdolla.

I love double cleansing. For me, it is important that all the makeup will vanish away from my skin without the nasty drying effect afterwards. So I have been using cleansing oils as a first step in my double cleansing routine. My favorite products have been Biotherm Total Renew.Balm and Biosource Balm-to-Oil, which are really effective in terms of removing waterproof makeup and keeping the skin hydrated. Third favorite of mine is L’occitane Shea cleansing oil, which also performs well in this business. At the second step in my double cleansing routine, I will wash away all the leftovers of the cleansing oil as well as the makeup residues with cleansing milk or foam.

I have always been a Lumene lover. Things got escalated when the brand decided to be renewed in terms of the all existing products with a bunch of new ones. Lumene has also stepped in the league of the cleansing oils in a form of Sisu. Sisu is one the newborns and the ideology behind this product is to protect skin against environmental exposures while moisturizing the skin. Pure arctic spring water with antioxidant-rich Nordic pine bark and spruce knot extract to help purify your skin, lock in moisture while fighting against external elements. Well, that sounds good!

A couple of days ago, I realized that I need to buy new cleansing oil because the previous one has shown some signs of running out. First-world problems indeed. Luckily enough the internet told me about this new product under Sisu collection. According to Lumene, Sisu deep clean purifying cleansing oil will clean all the encumbrances caused by city life. Okay Lumene, hold your horses. Maybe they were referring to the dirt, makeup, and sunscreens, which are affecting the skin’s well-being. This cleansing oil consists of well-studied, antioxidant-rich Nordic pine bark extract, blackcurrant, bilberry, and lingonberry seed oils, with essential omega fatty acids and vitamin E, which strengthens the skin’s outer layer and heals damages. So the inc-list is really impressive, and was one of the reasons to try this new product.

Neste purkin sisällä muistuttaa perinteistä puhdistusöljyä. Kun tuotetta kaataa kämmenelle, sieraimet valtaa suomalainen, tiheä mäntymetsä, sateen jälkeen raikastama mätäs, ripauksella raikasta sitruunaruohoa(?), ja vahva tietoisuus siitä, että perhana! on meillä maailman kaunein luonto! Aistit ovat tässä kohtaa aika herkillä. Tekee mieli rynniä lähimpään metsään, ja antautua sammalmereen tekemään sammalenkeleitä. Jos se siis on mahdollista.

Tuote hierotaan kämmenien avulla kuivalle iholle, mekaanisesti irrottaen meikin. Lopuksi tuote huuhdellaan vedellä tai pyyhitään vanulapuilla pois. Silmämeikinkin saa poistaa tällä, kunhan pitää silmät tiukasti kiinni.

Tämä tuote todella puhdistaa kasvot! Aluksi käytin liian vähän tuotetta ja meikki ei lähtenykään ykkösellä, mutta lisäsin seuraavana päivänä hiukan annosta ja kyllä lähti veemäisimmätkin ripsivärit tällä pois. Ja ah, mikä tunne jäi pesun jälkeen! Silky smooth. Lisäksi tämä ei vaatinut toista putsaria meikkien poistoon :O Viimeistelin puhdistuksen vain Lumene Lähde 3 in 1 misellivedellä, ja vanulappuun ei tarttunut meikinjämiä. Olen ällikällä lyöty!

Yhteenvetona:

PLUSSAT: Tuoksu (jos tykkää voimakkaista tuoksuista) / Puhdistusteho / Jälkituntuma iholla / Ei tarvitse parikseen kuin kasvoveden, niin kaikki meikki on tipotiessään

MIINUKSET: Tuoksu (jos ei välitä voimakkaista tuoksuista) / Silmämeikin puhdistuksessa on oltava äärimmäisen varovainen

The liquid inside the bottle reminds of traditional cleansing oil. When pouring the liquid on your palm, a bit strong scent of fresh, thick Finnish pine forest, moss that has been newly soaked with autumn rain, and a hint of lemon grass (?) will occupy your nostrils. You’ll start thinking that Finland indeed is having the most wonderful nature of all, and an urgent desire to run into the woods to dive into the moss sea to make some moss angels will come up into your mind. If that would be even possible…

The product can be applied to dry skin, mechanically rubbing the makeup off on the skin surface. You may wash it away with water or wipe it off with a cotton pad. You may clean eye makeup as well if keeping the eyes closed tightly.

This will most definitely clean every makeup off your skin! At first, I used it too little and noticed that it was not enough for my purposes, but then on the next day, I increased the amount of the product, and o boy, that was it. It even worked with the most BS mascara I have! And the skin felt so soft after the washing. And what is more: I did not need any second cleaning product (except the crucial facial toner) to be able to remove my everyday makeup. WHAT! I’m shook.

Conclusions:

PROS: Scent (if you tolerate strong scents) / Effectiveness / The after feeling / No need for another cleaning product at light makeup days

CONS: Scent (if you do not prefer strong scents) / Need to be careful while removing eye makeup
