Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette

Pyörittelin pitkään mielessäni, tarvitsenko tätä, haluanko tätä riittävästi, onko tämä tuhlailua, onko tässä järkeä. Sitten luin, että Beauty Bay -verkkokaupasta on mahdollista tilata tämä kaunokainen Suomeen. Sekosin. Lopetin ajattelun. Klikkasin. Ja kun puolitoista viikkoa oli kulunut, sain Postin saapumisilmoituksen ja läksin hullunkiilto silmissäni sitä noutamaan. Kotona revin paketin ja ne kaikki sataviiskytmiljoonaa kuplamuovikäärettä pois. Se oli kaunis. Enemmän mitä olin voinut ikinä ajatella. Onneksi sekosin ja tilasin hänet. Hän on siis Morphen luomiväripaletti, jonka on suunnitellut ja kehittänyt Youtube-kuningatar Jaclyn Hill. Hän valjastaa meikin kuin meikin toimimaan kasvoillaan, ja olen aina ihaillut hänen sivellinkäyttötaitojaan. Onneksi hän sai tehdä unelmiensa paletin, joka mielestäni näyttää myös aika napakympiltä!

For long I was thinking that do I need it, do I need it enough, is this just waste of money, is there any sense. Then I found out that Beauty Bay is selling and shipping it to Finland. I lost my mind. I stopped thinking. I clicked. And after 10 days, I got a note from the Post office and ran straight to there to fetch my treat. At home I tore the package into pieces. It was a beauty. More than I could have hoped for. Thank god I ordered it. May this be my Christmas present for myself ❤ Praise the matter!

She is a palette by Morphe Brushes, designed by Youtube makeup star Jaclyn Hill. I have been following her for years, admiring her skills with the brushes and makeup. Luckily she was able to create this palette, which to me, look like a jackpot!

Paletti kustansi Beauty Bayn kautta 45,40 euroa, eli yhden värinapin hinta on abouttiarallaa 1,30 euroa. En usko, että mistään saisi ostettua sinkkunappeja tällä hinnalla ja tällä laadulla. Paletissa on siis 35 eri väriä, jotka sointuvat hyvin kauniisti yksi yhteen. Paletti sisältää eniten lämpimän sävyisiä värejä, mutta mukaan on ripoteltu myös muutama väriläiskä, jotka itseasiassa sopivat aika hyvin tähän jengiin. Olen etsinyt jo pitkään palettia, missä olisi riittävän laaja sävyvalikoima niin, että saisin tehtyä monta eri silmämeikkiä samalla paletilla, eikä tarvitsi säheltää monen paletin kanssa. En ole tehnyt tällä paletilla vielä montakaan meikkiä, mutta lupaan leikkiä sen kanssa enemmän ja varmasti tulen tänne blogiinkin niistä meikeistä huutelee. Alkunaposteltavana: Mikä pigmentti! Mutta mitäs värejä tässä meille sitten tarjotaankaan? Tein jokaisesta väristä näytepyyhkäisyt sormellani puhtaalle käsivarrelleni. Toki tämä ei kerro koko totuutta värin ilmentymästä silmässä, mutta antaa ehkä vähän osviittaa, millainen sävymaailma, lämpöaste ja levitettävyys sillä on.

The palette was 45.40 €, which means about 1.30 € for a single eyeshadow shade. I  don’t believe that you are able to find a single eyeshadow lower than this price with the same quality. So this palette contains 35 shades, which fit perfectly together. There are more warm tones in it, but also some brighter colors, which actually suit into the warm tones like fist in the eye. I have searched for long a palette that would contain a broad set of colors, enough for my need to conduct a proper eye look, without reaching other palettes. I have not played with this palette much, but I promise to do so in near future and come here to tell my experiences on it. As a little sneak peek from my preliminary thoughts: What a pigment! So what kind of colors does this palette have? I swatched every single eyeshadow with my finger to my clean arm. This does not tell the whole truth about the quality of the shades, but it will give some initial thoughts about the pigment, tone and spreadability it has.

Alkuun saattaa näyttää, että aika monta samaa sävyä tungettu yhteen palettiin. Väärin. Tässä paletissa on haluttu ilmeisesti ottaa huomioon kylmään ja lämpimään taittuvat eri ruskean ja beigen sävyt, mikä on aika nerokasta. Osa väreistä levisi kuin voi, mutta osa oli haasteellista levittää ainakin sormella. Kaikki hohde-napit olivat 6/5. Järkyttävän hyvä pigmentti! En jaksa odottaa, että pääsisin ruoskimaan tämän paletin oikein kunnolla töihin!

At first, it might seem that this palette is full of exactly the same colors in it. Wrong. To me, it seems to be that there is a substantial aim to take into account the warm and cool tones behind beige and brown in this palette, which is quite brilliant. Some of the shades glide like butter, while some of them were hard to spread evenly. All the shimmering shades were amazing, the individual problems were within the matte ones. Overall, a bomb pigment! I can’t wait to test this baby out more!
